Yet Another Policy Update on Blogger

Well, well, well what do you know, Blogger chickened after all! And I thought that their implementation of prohibiting sexually explicit videos and images was final. Then I thought wrong.

Just today did I receive a notification from Blogger. And according to my research, (six days ago) they have updated their policy: to maintain their old policies. What in the world were they thinking about allowing, prohibiting, then allowing porn content again.

I should thank their indecisiveness. But the greatest contributor to the success of their change of heart are us, bloggers. Yes, bloggers who have voiced out their opinions on this matter.

It seems that Blogger already know who the real bosses are. They have heard the pleas of the multitude who will be negatively affected by their new policy.

I am sure that adult-oriented blogs outnumber the child-friendly ones. I bet that if they did implement their "No Porn Content" policy the number of bloggers will dwindle. If that happened, their loss...

But wait, I found something hidden within their updated policy.

"If a blog with adult content is brought to Google's attention and the content warning is not active, we will turn on the warning interstitial for you. If this happens repeatedly, the blog may be removed."

Sneaky bitches! Removing a blog for a repeated offense? And in their previous policy update, they promised not to remove a blog with adult content (blogs that were created before March 23, 2015). Again some inconsistency detected.

On the lighter side, should I come back to Blogger? Or should I stand firm with my decision and move on with Tumblr?
